Nancy Drew Clues 2 & 3

8 Nov

During the month of November, while I’m participating in NaNoWriMo, a.k.a. trying to write 1,666 words or 6.6. pages per day, I’m featuring two weekly blogs based on the fabulous book, Clues for Real Life: The Classic Wit & Wisdom of Nancy Drew, compiled by Jennifer Fisher (used with  permission).

“Whether you’re battling everyday villains, dating mysterious men, or just shopping for a fashionable frock, a few good clues for life are just what the modern woman needs.”

Nancy Drew Clue #2

Keeping an emergency five dollars in your purse is a great idea — until your purse is stolen! The Mystery at the Ski Jump

Real Life Clue #2

Simple — keep the five dollar bill in your shoe. If you’re wearing flip flops, stick it down your bra.

Nancy Drew Clue #3

If you’re planning to investigate a dark, spooky attic, you might want to bring extra batteries for your flashlight. The Hidden Staircase

Real Life Clue #3

My advice: don’t investigate dark, spooky attics alone, batteries or not. You’re not Nancy Drew. Always go with your best chum, preferably one who is a wrestler. Or wait until morning.
