Personality Match: Are you like Nancy Drew?

15 Nov

During the month of November, while I’m participating in NaNoWriMo, a.k.a. trying to write 1,666 words or 6.6. pages per day, I’m featuring two weekly blogs based on the fabulous book, Clues for Real Life: The Classic Wit & Wisdom of Nancy Drew, by Jennifer Fisher (used with the author’s permission).

“Whether you’re battling everyday villains, dating mysterious men, or just shopping for a fashionable frock, a few good clues for life are just what the modern woman needs.”

Personality Match: Are you like Nancy, Bess or George?

Which of these adventures is right up your alley?

1. Stalking out suspects and eavesdropping.

2. Hitting the sales at the mall.

3. Running in a marathon.

While visiting your eccentric aunt, you stumble upon a secret passageway in her attic. What do you do?

1. Explore it, hoping you stumble upon something mysterious

2. Run screaming at the first sign of insects or mice.

3. Hope there’s a sneaky sort hiding out, so you can try out your latest judo trick.

What’s your favorite weekend activity?

1. Multitasking on your many ongoing projects.

2. Going to the spa.

3. Mountain biking.

A friend calls with boyfriend troubles. What advice to you give?

1. Follow him: he might secretly be seeing someone else.

2. Cook for him. A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.

3. Go for a job, it’ll clear your mind of troubles.

When a man flirts with you, what do you do?

1. Feel a rush of excitement, then wonder if he’s got any skeletons in his closet.

2. Flirt back.

3. Wonder if he’d make a good sparring partner.

A friend laments that she’s going on a diet. What is your response?

1. Support her decision and offer helpful advice.

2. Offer to join her, after you finish your triple-fudge brownie sundae.

3. Tease and nag her when she overindulges.

How Did You Do?

Mostly 1’s – You’re an observant detective like Nancy!

Mostly 2’s – Like Bess, food, shopping and boys are important priorities!

Mostly 3’s – Athletics is your true passion, like George!

I’m more of a Nancy. Good luck meeting your daily goal. We’re at the halfway point for these November challenges.

LOL! that was fun. Apparently, I’m a Nancy Drew type. Although, Bess sounds a lot more fun.

Talk to me ;)
