Bag Hag Saturday #9

19 May

This is the ninth post of Bag Hag Saturday, where I defend myself against accusations that I own too many bags. If you’re a bag hag, drop me a line, I’d love to hear from you. The last time I counted, I owned about 20 bags. Do you think I’m BOD (bag  obsession disordered?)

This is a Guess clutch that I bought at The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, Florida. It is my first official ‘upper end designer’ bag purchase, and I bought it at Neiman Marcus. I was too freaked out to actually walk into a designer boutique, and shopping in a department store was less scary — and slightly less expensive.

I love the color of this clutch — it goes with anything. It’s very roomy for its size, and includes a handy wrist strap if you get tired of holding it or tucking it under your arm. I’ve worn it a lot and it’s garnered me a few compliments over the years.

Another great bag. I’m trying to find the right bag to carry to class, but not be a back pack.

I’m not a fan of back packs, a lot of them aren’t very stylish, but they are more comfortable than carrying a tote, which can be hard on your shoulders. I guess it’s a choice between looking fabulous and being comfortable. Hmmm…..

Is this how I enter the contest on The ROmance Studio. 20 bags. It has been a very long time since I owned that many. Now I own two – one for now and one for backup. WHen in my 20s I had a different color bag and shoes for every outfit. So not to be nosey, how old are you. I’m 62. Please enter me in contest.

Hi Jane, thanks for stopping by! I’m 55 years young, and yes, I still wear shoes and bags with every outfit. I switch bags at least every day, sometimes twice in one day. Crazy, huh?

I’m not sure what contest you’re referring to, since I’m not running one. You may have the wrong blog, but I’m very friendly to passers by. I can offer you one of my books if you like. Pick whichever one you’d like and I’ll email you a coupon code so you can download it for free. 🙂

lol Nancy! I just found these Bag Hag posts. Love the bags…love the comments! (is it me, or is there a common thread in terms of colour – taupe-ish?) i feel soo boring. I never bother to change my purse, or very seldom. I carry a boring cross-body Roots bag, in black, natch. Perhaps I should become a bag hag too, is it difficult to learn?
    Take care

Thanks, Krista! Unfortunately it’s all too easy to become a bag hag. In my case it runs in the family – my mother liked bags too, LOL!

Talk to me ;)
