Tasty Tuesday: Call Your Local Pizzeria

13 Nov

I had great plans this week to offer up one of my favorite recipes — maybe Chicken Divan or Spaghetti Pie, but I gave up because I`m having another one of those weeks. There`s a computer gremlin that seems to attack everything I touch, and it`s driving me crazy. Here`s the story:

I brought my laptop over to my daughter`s house, but couldn`t seem to access her wireless internet. I took the laptop back to the store, since it`s only a few weeks old. They found 23 viruses on it, probably caused by my Internet gaming. Who knows, those tech guys never say much. So they fixed it.

I took it to my daughter`s again, but still can`t get on her internet, so the original problem is still there. I asked my son-in-law if I could use his MAC. He said no problem. I started playing a game, when the screen suddenly went dark. Not good. I killed his computer, too.

Then my PC started acting up. It`s five years old, so I knew it was time for a tune up anyway. Hubby brought it in, and of course it needs a mother board transplant and more RAM, etc. etc. So I`m using my laptop, which I`m still getting used to. The keyboard is very different., and I`m not used to a touch pad. Every time I try to type a question mark, this is what happens – ÉÉÉÉÉ. Also, I`ll be half way through a sentence and I get kicked back to the beginning of the line for no reason. Or maybe I`m pressing the wrong key. I have no idea what I`m doing wrong. But sometimes I feel cursed when it comes to technology.

So I decided to forget about a recipe this week. I`m too stressed. My advice É (see, that`s my version of a question mark). When you have a week like this, don`t bother cooking a damn thing. Pick up the phone and call the Pizza Man. Or better yet, go out for dinner and order a large glass of wine.

My fellow Tasty Tuesday Bloggers have had a better week, thankfully, so please stop by their blogs for some delicious recipes:

OMG. I’m sitting here grinning and asking myself, “Why didn’t *I* think of that?? Brilliant post! I love it! I love the sense of humor and THAT you posted. Awesome.

And for the record? The pizza man rocks. Pizza person. Pizza delivery specialist. Whatever they want to call it. They bring me food and root beer. This is good.

    Happy Tasty Tuesday!

LMAO! Good one, Nancy. You’re going to set a trend for all the Tasty Tuesday chicks. When having a bad week, just post about your favorite take out. I like the idea.

Great funny post, and I hope your computer woes are all solved soon.

I just got a call from The Computer Man. My PC will be ready for discharge at 5 pm this afternoon, once it gets a new fan installed. Yippee!

Nancy, we’ve all been there. Thanks for the humorous post. After the week I’ve had (and yest I realize it is just barely half over), take out pizza and a large glass of Guinness sound right up my alley.
